Rengim Mutevellioglu

Rengim’s work has been traveling around the blogosphere for a while now, and its always a pleasure to come across her pictures, because they are simply amazing. You know someone is a great photographer when their Flickr photostream has almost 6000 pictures in it, and they are all awesome. She captures movement perfectly and her post-processing (photoshop fun) is incredible.

Just look at the tones in the first three pictures, white then green then blue then red, beautiful. I think I might post some more photographs of hair movement, its just too cool.

But seriously, what do you think of this? and yes I mean you, hopefully there is one person outthere who actually reads what I write.

  1. Personally, I prefer the last shot posted as it seems more artistic and less artificial. The others appear to my eye as a bit too contrived.

    • its true that the last shot is simpler and looks less worked on, it shows the diversity in her work. Personally I’m a bit a of a photoshop passionate so I appreciate the skills in editing.

  2. I have nothing against post-processing techniques —
Lightroom, Photoshop, Photomatix, Gimp, etc. are all wonderful instruments in the right hands.

In the end, each piece of art is subjective; it either speaks to one emotionally or it doesn’t.
