I’m really glad the Bristol Antlers Gallery recently sent me some info about their on-going work with contemporary emerging artists – Antlers represents a group of skill-based artists who’s work generally focus on drawing or painting. The first artist from this group I completely fell for is Anouk Mercier – her work seems to combine many influences while remaining very subtle in its imagery.
I love these landscapes, which were apparently inspired by “Combining fragments from 17th and 18th Century landscape etchings, references to vintage postcards” and adding many original elements.
