Czlowiek Kamera (meaning ‘human-camera’) specialises in recording live performances with one camcorder. I first came across his wonderful photography though, which uses the art of photo-manipulation in a very effective way, relying mostly on simplicity and the beauty of a 6×6 frame.

Photographer Krisztian Kondor uses strong poppy colors to frame his fashion models. I love the segmented feel this gives to his photographs, as if composed along an invisible grid.

Sera Yong is a Korean graphic designer, illustrator and visual artist currently based in Berlin. Her works mix typographic elements with bold and colorful shapes, creating wonderfully textured abstractions. You should definitely have further look into her portfolio site and the site for Love and Peace Market, her design studio. It’s like entering a wonder child’s dream website/den.

Elisabeth Prochnik has launched herself into a simple yet daunting challenge: photograph one stranger per day for the whole year. So far Liz has captured hundreds of great portraits of New Yorkers. The faces in these portraits are all incredibly unique and fascinating to observe through Elisabeth’s lens.

Came across these beautiful designs made by renowned designer Leo Leonni made for Fortune in 1957. This magnificent use of the spread with simple colors and contrasting shapes really shows the unlimited potential of the design language.

Swedish photographer Viktor Gårdsäter captures striking moments of human movements. I love the emphasis on frozen time found in his shots, like people flying through the air before splashing in a lake, or ballet dancers in mid-movement, or even the majestic Win Butler from Arcade Fire as he swings his guitar with the rhythm.
