Acrylic Paintings by Michael Dotson

NOW! Thats What I Call Painting Vol. 2

Michael Dotson’s work seems to cut through the ever-present and over-debated digital/paper divide. His paintings have a purely digital aesthetic – with such things as glitchy pixel-shapes, zig-zags, drop-shadows or frames (commonly found in contemporary digital graphic design these days). However Michael creates these works using acrylic on panel or canvas, giving a beautiful permanency to this aesthetic, and executing it phenomenally well.
