“I aim for abstract.
I would call it abstract nude landscapes.
Trying, instead of capturing a moment,
to create a place with something we see everyday.
The human body. An imaginary place with
an amazing object.” Billy Kidd
I love Hedi Slimane’s black and white Rock Diary – his photos of rock celebrities stand apart from the mass with the dark contrast and especially their composition. It’s beautiful to see monochrome photography where the dark shadows are more defining in the shot than the parts touched by light.
Stunning images by Italian photographer Alessandro Mitola. It was difficult to choose which ones to post since Alessandro captures great portraits every-time, so I selected some very different images…
If you feel like there’s a similarity between a bunch of different photos from the same portfolio, but you can’t pin-point what it is exactly, then you’ve found a great photographer.
