Weng Fen has created several series of photographs following the schoolgirl idea, each of which is just fantastic, so I had to select a bit of all of them. With each series she finds creative ways of integrating these idle and anonymous girls in school-uniforms into vast urban or natural landscapes – giving us an unusual perspective as somewhat of a secondary viewer in the scene.
Liu Shuwei shot some great photographs for designer Momo Wang – these particularly strange looks somehow fit great in the surroundings.
As part of the “exclusive and elite group of leading-edge Chinese creatives” EDGE Creative Collective, Ren Hang’s work is characterized as “obscene, vicious, youthful” – I couldn’t agree more.
Although I haven’t got much info on this Chinese photographer, I’m very interested in her (his?) pictures. These pictures have a subtle mysticism to them. A combination of the photographer’s choice in composition and in surroundings to shoot in.
