I rarely post any photojournalism here because I’m rather unfamiliar with that world and it also rarely speaks to me. But on occasion something interesting comes my way, such as this series by Emil Hartvig.

In this project Emil focused on Prepperspeople who are “preparing” themselves for the end of modern society – by building shelters, learning wilderness survival techniques and/or stockpiling things like food and guns.

The idea of societal fear in a time of crisis sort of fascinates me in a strange way, and I found the way Emil portrayed this movement of people similarly interesting. His desaturated, darkly contrasted and gloomy colored pictures successfully captured the vibe surrounding the Prepper movement.
