I absolutely love the work Aakash Nihalani does using such simple material as brightly colored tape. He re-shapes the urban landscape, either by emphasizing a certain perspective or creating an entirely new dimensions.

I came across this selection of pictures by Owen tonight and found it very appropriate, considering I’m taking a trip to NYC tomorrow. Owen’s photographs of his trip to New York have mesmerizing patterns and beautiful colors. When looking for photographers to feature, what generally catches my eye are the patterns in pictures. Some photographers have the ability to take apart a supposedly mundane scene and extract the very essence of it. Owen perfectly achieves this effect. In other words it’s not necessarily what is in the picture that it captured, but more the idea behind what is there; the geometric shapes and colors.
Obviously this is just one side of the beauty found in these pictures, there are many others.
Tomorrow, NEW YORK.
