I find this series of photographs by Michael Wolf absolutely stunning. He has captured the strange and uncomfortable beauty of metro travellers in huge cities – in this case, Tokyo.

The people portrayed in Alessio’s picture give a really powerful impression. Not too sure where it comes from, but I feel like the way they’re standing combined with the gigantic urban backgrounds helps achieve this effect. Alessio makes great use of the colossal nature of Tokyo’s urban setting in contrast with our human size.

Absolutely fa-sci-na-ting pictures by Thong in Tokyo. His photography combines unique animal and people portraits in a completely foreign culture (to me). These five pictures give a great impression of almost untouchable worlds and environments utterly unknown to me, so far. Traveling to East Asia is yet another thing on my bucket list, and Thong’s photography makes me want to fly there tomorrow !
